![]() This guarantee that an alternate loop will always be perfectly converted whatever the destination format is. If this sample has an alternate loop then the Virtual sample object will emulate its looping mode and will provide audio data accordingly which means that the player and all the converters don’t have to deal with this alternate loop problem, for them it’s just a simple forward loop. Each sample read by CDXtract is handled by a special object called a “Virtual Sample”, this Virtual Sample is responsible for providing audio data to any other components. ![]() One example is the support of alternate loops that are available in some hardware samplers but not in any software samplers so far. The advantage of this architecture is that the same code is not duplicated again and again, moreover it increases the overal reliability. Most of the high level functions required to work on sampler files are directly implemented in the Kernel and accessible to any format that needs to use it. utilities on a variety of import formats including Akai and Emu CDROMs and SoundFonts. The CDXtract technology is used inside half of the major Sampler software available today such as Halion or Stylus RMX.ĬDXtract is based on a very sophisticated and robust architecture that is fully object-oriented. In these cases both Translator and CDxtract performed very well. CDXtract has been the reference Sampler Format converter since it was first released in 1999. Both Translator and Awave have demos for download.CDXtract v4.5 & 4.5.1 WiN MAC Team: AiR | Date: 06/2007 | Size: 1.88 MB Team: ArCADE | Date: | 4.1 MBĬDXtract converts all your sampler CDs (Akai, Roland, EMU, Kurzweil…) and files (Giga, Soundfont, Kontakt, Halion, EXS24…) so that you can use them in your Sampler software. If you have a massive sample library like myself, you should not be without Translator. MF has better shipping prices, but they will not be shipping this product until the 25th of this month. You can order it directly from Chicken Systems or you can get it at Musicians Friend. It is $129 and let me tell you that it was money well spent. It also can read Ensoniq CD's without having to use a SCSI drive. ![]() It is phenomenal!! It can convert to and from Gigasampler, Gigastudio, Reaktor map, EMU SF1 and SF2, Akai S1000 and S5000/6000, Roland plus so many more. Just when I thought all hope was lost, I found a program with a funny name. On top of that, I had to purchase seperate program just to extract the ensoniq image file to the my hardrive before I could convert any of the patches. I found that this particular program didn't even handle basic envelope and looping functions. Keep in mind that since the sample patches are proprietary so they are not going to be programmed 100% exact when converted and used in a different format. This one is alright, but does not accurately translate from one format to the other. I did some research and found two programs that would be able to convert my libraries to whatever format I wanted. "man, I have all these libraries that I cant use anymore, that sucks". I have Gigasampler which takes care of my Akai Collection but thats it. I also have 2 Roland CD's but no Roland Sampler, not to mention my 10 CD Soundfont library. I have a 30 CD Ensoniq ASR-10 library but no longer do I have the ASR-10.
